someone told me to the read the bible so i told them about how we lose much of the original meaning through translation and that words are not absolute, since we all have our own perceptions of words and attach our own meanings to words. Especially when it comes to English, which is very simple compared to older languages like Hebrew. The only version of the bible I’d actually listen to is the most original text that would be available to me, the Hebrew version, but only once I’d learn Hebrew lmao. They said that the King james version only has few flaws but neither of us had ever read the original version or what is close to the original version how would they know?
